Day Treatment offers an alternative form of intensive out-patient therapeutic treatment for children/youth, aged 3-17, who have been diagnosed with a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). Typically, these children/youth struggle with aggressive and undesirable behaviors across several settings, and often have been removed from the mainstream classroom. Treatment is tailored to the needs of the child/youth and their families, and is implemented by qualified staff who work one-to-one with the child. Day Treatment focuses on providing holistic therapeutic interventions for the child, and mandatory components of treatment include individual counseling for the child and parents/guardians, group counseling, and family counseling.
