Crisis Care

Positive Connections Plus:

If your situation requires immediate attention, we are available to return your phone calls:

During business hours from 9 am to 5 pm at 208-737-9999, Monday thru Friday.

You may call our after-hours phone line at 208-320-8504 between 5 pm to 9 am Monday thru Friday and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

We check messages throughout the day. If you feel that you are in a crisis and need to talk to someone immediately at night, during the weekend, or during a holiday, and we are not immediately available, call 988 or Canyon View Hospital at 208-814-1000.

What To Do In A Crisis

1. Make sure your immediate surroundings are safe.

2. Use any skills or strategies you know to reduce the intensity of the feeling.

(Such as breathing, visualization, meditation, muscle relaxation, or exercise.)

3. Contact anyone you know who can talk to you and get your mind off the problem.

4. Contact anyone you trust to help you.

5. Contact professionals for help.

(Such as our agency or 988)

When you or someone you know lives with a mental health condition, your body and mind can make you feel like you are in a crisis situation. In times of crisis, remember that you are not alone and there is help.

If you cannot mediate your crisis with learned coping skills, there are many resources you can reach out to.

NAMI:

The NAMI hotline can help you through difficult times by providing sympathy and support by trained staff. You can contact them on their 24hr hotline at 800-950-6264 or via email at info@nami.org for additional resources.
