Job Description Skills Training and Development Lead

Job Title: Skills Training and Development Lead

Reports to: Recovery and Resiliency Lead

Summary:

The Skills Training and Development (STAD) Lead oversees daily operations of the STAD Program ensuring that staff and clients adhere to each client’s treatment plan to provide evidence based services. The Lead is expected to be able to and on occasion, perform all of the tasks and duties of all staff they oversee. 

Essential Duties:

  • Attending sessions with counselor to build and review treatment plans for clients
  • Attend CFT meeting as needed
  • Plan activities for the month & gather supplies & binders
  • Fill in support as needed
  • Run STAD group
  • Keep prize boxes full & procure big ticket items
  • Be available for kids’ support when they need to talk
  • Keep track of R&R program debit card

Qualifications Required:

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must have or obtain current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience working with youth or adolescents with serious emotional disturbance.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret assessments and plans. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • talk or hear
  • see and observe
  • stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects
  • use tools or controls
  • reach with hands and arms
  • ambulate long distances and run short distances
  • ascend and descend stairs

Work Environments: Indoor/outdoor office, yard, and community settings. Positive Connections Plus is a pet friendly facility and keeps cats as emotional support animals that are available for use in sessions. Group in person services. Ambient sound from clients in the children’s program and other office operations.

Pay: Pay depends on experience.
